This lightweight custom saddle from Rider's Choice Saddlery features a unique Steele Equifit tree called the "X," which is their “Broad-Backed Full Quarter Horse Plus+” tree. It has a wider front (~100 degrees), and rear bar angle (~145 degrees). The larger angle allows for a broad wither and larger shoulder muscles, plus a more open bar angle (~130) through the rider’s legs facilitates the horse raising his back through collection and core development. When combined with a larger gullet width, it sits much better on really broad-backed horses. The wooden tree is fiberglass reinforced, which locks out moisture and adds another layer of strength to the tree, adding to the longevity of your saddle.
